Kathy was a school teacher for 20 years until she turned her interest in dogs into a fulltime profession.

Kathy is also a senior KUSA judge in obedience, dog jumping, agility and carting,as well as being an International Dog Dancing judge for WCFO (World Canine Freestyle Organization).

Kathy has trained her own Border Collies and GSD's for over 30 years and competed in Obedience, Dog Jumping, Agility, Dog Carting, Working Trails, Dog Dancing and achieved championship status with some of her dogs.

Kathy owns and runs her own Dog Training School - K C Dog School (corner William Nicol & Republic Road, Sandton) on the weekends and on a Tuesday morning. During the rest of the week, she goes to houses for behavioural consultations. She has been doing this for 19 years.

Kathy holds a BA degree from UNISA, a Higher Diploma in Education (JCE), as well as the Companion Animal Behaviour Course from the University of Pretoria.

Kathy travels overseas regularly to attend conferences (such as the International Working Dog Conferences and World Veterinary Congress) as well as meeting with other behaviourists in England, America and Australia.

Kathy has judged various disciplines all over South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe; and in 2012 she judged Dog Dancing in Pennsylvania, USA.

Kathy writes for a behavioural column in the Fair Lady magazine, and has been Radio 702 to answer listener's queries.

Kathy is the behaviourist for the website - "yourownvet". She has helped people from all over America, and in Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and recently India.

Presently, Kathy is Chairman of the Animal Behaviour Consultants of SA and Chairman of Dancing with Dogs in Africa.

All canine and feline behavioural problems are addressed by Kathy.
